I love a good midi skirt. Even if you are short like me, you can still pull this look off. Now it will be longer on you, but I am actually okay with that. Pair it with a basic shirt like I am wearing, or a basic. I also front-tuck the top so it looks flattering. Add your favorite sneakers, and you are set. Some of my favorite sneakers I found are

Tan and black sneakers (on sale) size up 1/2 size | Midi Skirt (longer on me because I am only a little over 5 feet tall) | Similar top (the one I am wearing I have had for years)

Collection of pretty journals

Daily things that are helping me

I have to be honest, most days I have what feels like a hundred tabs open in my brain (I mean, who doesn’t?!) I have so many things I either want to do or need to do (both small and big), and I struggle with that. I often feel overwhelmed and overthink things. So I have been trying some new things that I thought I would share, which have been helping me. You may be able to relate.

  • I make my to-do list in pretty journals every day. Sometimes it’s just for that day, and others it’s like a brain dump of things, ideas, and tasks I have to do. Marking things off my list is satisfying, so writing them down is a rewarding experience. And yes, I do have a little problem with collecting pretty journals. use Chat to help me prioritize things that need to be done. Listen Chat and I are best friends. I hope to write a post soon about all the ways it has helped me. You may be shocked. (me now literally adding this to my list of ideas for future blog post/Newsletter ideas) See what I mean?

  • I recently bought a Skylight calendar, which is a digital family calendar that hangs on your wall or sits on your countertop like a tablet. Think of it as a big, always-on screen where everyone in the family can see what’s happening. You can sync it with Google, Apple, or Outlook calendars, and it automatically updates, so no one has to ask, “What time is practice?” or “When’s the doctor appointment?” It’s great for busy households.

  • I set daily alarms on my phone for tasks I know I need to do. For example, picking out my outfit for the next day is crucial. Sounds crazy, right? If I don’t do this, I can spend over 30 minutes trying to make a decision. I will either stand in the closet, staring at my options, or try on six different things (none of which I like). So planning ahead is usually a must. I also have an alarm that goes off to remind me to wash my face, put on my pajamas, and get into bed. I don’t always do this when the alarm goes off, but it does keep me on track with the time, and I need to get to it soon.

I love recipe cards, don’t you? I remember my mom and grandmother having almost all of their recipes written down on recipe cards. I have been making this protein sugar free pumpkin spice cold brew after my hot pilates workout. This is the only protein powder I have found that agrees wth me.
