I’m sitting in bed with my laptop, watching Friends reruns. Oh, the nostalgia. This show never gets old. If you feel that, we’re instantly friends.
I was working on my newsletter and realized Mother’s Day is almost here, and it got me thinking… moms are somehow the hardest people to shop for, even though we could list exactly what we want in about thirty seconds.
So I put together a list of things I’d ask for this Mother’s Day if I didn’t already own them. All things I genuinely love and use. Here is my list.
1. Traveler Makeup Bag. I recently bought this and used it on a weekend trip, and I can’t imagine traveling without it now. I thought it was a splurge for a makeup bag, and then I bought it and immediately understood.
Everything stands upright. Nothing gets buried. The sides fold down. I can actually see and reach everything without unpacking the whole thing on a hotel bathroom counter. It holds way more than it looks like it should. I have the large size and love it!
I love this bag so much. The tortoiseshell print is so pretty, and it goes with everything. I take it to Pilates, I’ve carried my laptop in it, and it’s the perfect beach, pool, or travel bag. It’s one of those bags that just works for everything and looks good doing it.
3. Hotel Lobby Candle — Signature Scent is my favorite
I’m a candle snob. I’m picky about smells, and most candles give me headaches, so I just stopped using them until I found this one. It checks every box. It’s a clean candle — 100% soy wax, no synthetic dyes, no paraffin, so it doesn’t trigger anything.
This candle smells exactly like you’re walking into a five-star hotel. Every single time someone comes over, they ask me what it is. I’ve recommended it more times than I can count.
I have sleep issues, and this has genuinely helped. It sits on my nightstand and does so much more than I expected.
At night, I use sleep sounds like rain, white noise, or whatever I’m feeling. It has a whole bedtime routine built in to help you wind down and actually put your phone down. That alone is worth it.
In the morning, it lights up gradually like a slow sunrise and wakes you up with sounds of your choice. I am all about that.
I love this mat because it’s thicker than a traditional Pilates mat, so it’s much better on my knees and wrists. The Pro version has a textured top which gives you way more grip, so it’s perfect for hot Pilates or any sweaty workout. And it folds, which makes it so easy to store and carry.
If you do any kind of Pilates or floor work, this is worth every penny.
6. YSE Beauty Minutes to Glow Trio
This gives you a no-makeup look but better. I use it on days I want to look put- together without a lot of makeup. Think school drop-offs, running errands, summer days, and days I just don’t want a full face.
It gives you the glowiest skin with barely any effort. Three steps and you’re done and you actually look like yourself, just better. I wear it with my makeup too.
I use this pan every single day. I steam my broccoli in it, bake chicken in it, sauté in it, and it goes straight from the stovetop to the oven. It replaced all of my pans in my kitchen.
It’s also non-toxic, which matters to me. And it’s beautiful. I have the blue one, and it goes straight from the stove to the table.
I also have this size and a pot. That’s how much I love this brand.
I use mine every single morning for my protein cold brew, and it is unlike any blender I’ve ever had. It’s incredibly powerful and blends things other blenders simply can’t touch.
The self-cleaning feature is my favorite thing about it. You just add warm water and a drop of dish soap, turn it on, and it cleans itself in 60 seconds. No taking it apart, no scrubbing. Done.
This cup is so me. As soon as I saw the flower print, I knew I had to have it. It is just pretty, and I love carrying something that feels like it has personality.
But I keep reaching for it because it’s leakproof. I throw it in my bag constantly without even thinking about it, and it has never once spilled. It also keeps drinks cold for 24+ hours, which is actually insane.
10. Kate Spade MagSafe Portable Charger
If you know me, you know I love an accessory that actually does something. This portable charger is so pretty, I leave it out on my nightstand. It comes in tortoiseshell and a blue floral. I honestly couldn’t choose, so I’m linking both. Wireless, MagSafe compatible, and no bigger than a card. It’s the kind of thing you didn’t know you needed until you have it, and then you wonder how you lived without it.
If I didn’t already own these, they’d all be on my list.
