Packing for Vacation with kids

Last weekend we went out of town for my sons football tournament.  Packing for three kids and myself for a weekend stressed me out.  I never know what I will need and I always pack way way more then I need.  During our stay I went crazy trying to keep everyones clothes together.  With that being said,  I decided to try something different this weekend.

We are going to visit my mother in law and it’s about 4-5 hours away.  We are staying four to five days. So I packed an outfit for each day along with underwear and matching hair bow for the girls into a ziploc bag.  I actually found the idea on Pinterest.  Imagine that. 🙂  I have to say this is so nice!  The thought of not having to dig for underwear or the matching top and bottoms.  I am loving this system! This way I don’t over pack.  I did pack a couple extra outfits just in case.  I also packed their pajamas in ziplock bags.  I am telling you this worked out perfectly!

I also packed snacks for the kids.  This made our stay much more enjoyable because I had all of their favorite things right there.  It also helped with the car ride.  No unnecessary stopping means we arrive quicker to our destination.  Yay!

I used my 31utility tote to pack snacks and foods they may want in the car and during our stay.
