Flank Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 - 1 1/2 pound Flank Steak
  • 3/4 cups of Crios Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire
  • 1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 - 7 sprigs of Thyme.

Instructions

  • Mix wine, garlic, Worcestershire, olive oil, pepper, salt and leaves from sprigs of Thyme in a small bowl.
  • Place steak in a glass pan and use a fork to polk holes into steak.
  • Pour wine mixture over steak and cover pan.
  • Marinate steak in refrigerator overnight.
  • Before cooking let steak get to room temperature.
  • Next turn the burner on high heat and get your cast iron skillet nice and hot.
  • Once cast iron skillet is hot add the steak.
  • Turn the burner to a medium to high heat and cook steak on one side of steak for four minutes.
  • Turn steak over and cook for three minutes.
  • Turn steak again and cook for two additional minutes.
  • Depending on how you like your steak you may need to flip the steak an additional time.
  • Take steak out of pan and place on a plate. It will continue to cook, so keep that in mind.
  • Cover with foil for an additional two minutes.
  • Slice the meat in thin slices against the grain.
  • Serve with a glass of Crios Cabernet Sauvignon wine.
