Perfect for Family Gatherings
This classic dessert is always a hit and brings all the nostalgia summer vibes. I get asked for this recipe every time I make it. That is why I knew I needed to get it on the blog. This recipe is incredibly easy to make and serves a large crowd. Who doesn’t love an easy dessert that is crowd-pleasing?!

Only 6 Ingredients
You only need six ingredients and five minutes to make this delicious dessert. Let’s not forget about the Nilla Wafers. If you find the mini Nilla Wafers, those are my favorite. Just because they are bite-sized, I can add more to my bowl. I told you I love this stuff.

Layer Banana Pudding
- Layer the bottom of your trifle dish or 13 “x9” glass pan with vanilla wafers.
- Add a layer of sliced bananas.
- This is optional, but I like to place some cookies vertically around the edge of the trifle dish, adding slices of bananas in between them. It creates a nice look in a trifle dish.
- Spread a layer of pudding over the cookies.
- Repeat layers: Continue layering in the sequence. Cookies, bananas, pudding, repeat until the bowl is nearly full.
- Top with crumbled wafers or other garnishes, such as sliced bananas or whole vanilla wafers.

Presentation is Everything
You can serve it in a large trifle dish for a pretty presentation or layer it in a 9″x 13″ glass pan. If you’re having guests over for dinner, you could even do individual servings in mini dessert bowls. The presentation is everything, after all.
