Friday Favorite My Erin Condren Planner

My Friday Favorite is my Erin Condren Planner.  I recently learned of this planner from other bloggers.  People go crazy over this thing.  I can honestly say I now understand why.  You can personalize it from personal pictures to your favorite colors and sayings.  I chose the Mod Morocco design with my custom colors Lavender and Seafoam.  I then chose to do my initials and a bible verse that I saw fitting for my planner.  The hardest part of the entire process was picking out a design and colors!  I am not kidding.  It took me days and many hours to decide.  It doesn't help I am such an indecisive person. ha  As you will see I actually have two planners.  The first one I bought was the Light Pink and Green planner.  I made a mistake when ordering and clicked my full name to appear on the front instead of my initials   I contacted the company and they were very nice about my mistake and gave me a discount to order another planner.  So since I was ordering a new planner I decided to change it up a bit.  Ok a lot.  I changed the colors and added a bible verse.  I love it!

I was so impressed with the packaging when it arrived.  It was so cute and colorful.  I appreciate little
touches like this.

The inside was nicely wrapped with colorful paper.  They sent me something extra too.  An envelope that had personalized gift labels.  Such a nice touch!  There are so many different things you can add on to your order.  Notepads, address labels, colorful pensstationary and so much more.  One of my favorite things was this "Call me - Let's Play cards" that you can give to other moms for a playdate.  They are so cute and say your name and mom to and your kids names. Such a cute idea.

Here is a list of features the life planner offers.

The inside of the planner is colorful and has so many different pages.  You can easily get to your months with the laminated monthly tabs on the side.

The boxes have plenty of room to write all my appointments and such.

There is a special place for birthday and anniversaries.  How helpful is that? :)

There are blank pieces of paper to write notes on.  The have several different designs on the top.

Next it has cute colorful stickers for birthdays reminders, hair appointments and vacations.  There is even a blank sheet so you can fill in your own title.  I am really loving the stickers!

Here is a folder with a pocket to put loose paper in.  It also holds a bookmark that doubles as a small ruler.

I love the various quotes listed on the monthly calendars.  I also love that gives you space to write monthly goals and to-do list.

Now, I will say this is a pricey planner.  $50.00 is the cost. Yikes!   However, I purchased mine when they were on sale for $30.00.  And good news, they are still on sale!  I read so many good reviews I knew I would havet to try one.  We are a very technology type family.  My husband owns a web development company.  That should say a lot.  We don't write checks for any of our bills.  Everything is paid for online.  Everything we do is done online.  So my husband makes fun of me because I would rather have a planner then use my iphone calendar or Goggle calendar   I have tried and it just doesn't work for me.  So this is how I roll.

"For I know the plans I have for you, "says the Lord, "plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I chose this verse because it is so easy to try and decide my future on my timing.  Reading this reminds me that God is in control and he will lead me to where I am to be.

So again I will say this is my Friday Favorite.  I am loving everything this planner has to offer.  You can certainly tell this company really pays attention to detail.  I highly recommend this planner. Remember moms, Mother's Day is right around the corner and they are still on sale.  This could be a great gift for you. :)

Friday Favorite Crockpot Chicken Tacos

My Friday Favorite is a recipe for Crockpot Chicken Tacos.  Seriously this was so simple and delicious!!  I actually found it on Pinterest.  Only three ingredients that turn into juicy shredded chicken.  Yum!!  When finished add it to a soft or hard shell Taco.

Crockpot Chicken Tacos
Serves: 12

  • 1 packet of Taco Seasoning (I made my own Taco Seasoning but any brand will do)
  • 6 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
  • 1 16-oz jar of Salsa
Add all ingredients to crockpot and mix together.  Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours.  Chicken will shred easily when finished.  This recipe makes a ton of food.  You can cut the recipe in half for a smaller servings.  I actually froze my leftovers for another night.

Another idea I read is you can add cream cheese to the crockpot 30 min before serving.  You can also add a can of cream of mushroom soup or even corn and black beans.  Possibilities are endless.  Let me know if you try this recipe and what you thought.

It's ready!

Friday Favorite

First, I want to apologize for this being so late.  I guess better late then never said my mom who is sometimes Always late. ;)  My Friday Favorite is the LesMills Body Pump Workout.  Have you heard of this?  Many gyms offer a Body Pump class.  It is very popular.  Unfortunately there wasn't a gym close enough for me that offered a class.  After some research I learned Beach Body sold an at home kit with the DVD's.  I was thrilled!  I like doing weights but always feel uncomfortable in the gym because the machines are always being used by men.  Lots of them.  The gym I am a member of is open 24/7 so I thought that would help me get in there and use the machines on a less busy time.  Umm no.  Seems they are always there.  I tried for a couple months but then decided I was done with that.  Now that I have the Body Pump Program I am able to do the workouts in my own home.  It comes with 7 DVD's, a barbell, two 5 lb and 10 lb weight plates.  I really want to tone and build muscle.  Believe me when I say you will feel the burn!!  I have decided to challenge myself with this for the next 30 days.  Anyone else doing a similar challenge?  It's so nice when you have someone to hold you accountable. :)  Today I did the Pump Extreme and my shoulders and arms are already sore.  So here's to Day 1.

Friday Favorite

My Friday Favorite is the TEMPTU Airbrush Makeup System!!  I just got it this week and I am so so in Love with this!!  I have been wearing Sephora Bare Minerals makeup for nearly seven years.  I am not one who changes makeup once I find something that works. :)  However, I was ready for something new.  I've been watching YouTube makeup reviews and ordered some things from Sephora.  I wasn't overly impressed with any of it and returned most of it.  So glad they have that policy.  I then came across the TEMPTU and watched some reviews on it.  Plus I read that the former Bachelorette Emily Maynard uses this and swears by it.  (Love her!)  There was two other companies who also make the Airbrush makeup that is a little cheaper.  I watched and read reviews on all of them for several days.

Finally, I decided to take a chance and went with the TEMPTU.  Sephora actually use to carry the TEMPTU but no longer does.  I got on their website and spoke to a representative who was very helpful.  I asked how true the color swatches for the foundation were.  She explained they were darker on the color swatch then they really were.  She asked if I wanted to be color matched.  I'm like oh yes.  After a few questions she matched me to the color Warm Beige.  Being I tan once a week and summer quickly approaching I decided to go up to the next color which was Natural.  I think it is a perfect match!  For the blush I chose the color NUDE PINK 409. The highlighter I chose CHAMPAGNE 301.  THE WARM GLOW BRONZER.  For the under eye concealer I chose MEDIUM 108.  Listed below too.

This makeup is Amazing!  The coverage is unbelievable  It is oli-free and does not settle into fine lines or large pores.  It is for every skin type.  I feel this gives me a lumins flawless airbrush look.  I don't know another way to explain it.  It is a silicone base, oil-free and will not clog your pores.  It is also water-resistant and sweat proof.  Pretty much it's not coming off unless you use a makeup remover cleansing towelettes.  I use the Neutrogena ones.

The process is super fast once you get the hang of it.  So is this worth the money?  My answer is a BIG YES!!  The kit I went with is the Deluxe Signature Kit.  Which comes with many AIRpods and CONCEALER and sells for $230.00 Valued at $413.00.  Be sure to watch some reviews on YouTube if you still need a little help in deciding.  Please feel free to ask me any questions. :)

That concludes my Friday Favorite!!  I hope you enjoyed it!

Easy Peezie Healthy Lunch

My Easy Peezie healthy lunch.  I wanted to share a delicious low calorie recipe with you.  All you need is:

  • Organic Spinach leaves
  • Grilled Chicken Breast
  • Shredded cheese
  • Almond slices
I use my George Foremon grill to cook the chicken breast.  I season it with lemon pepper.  Add about half of the chicken breast to spinach leaves.  Sprinkle with shredded cheese and top off with some baked Almond slices.  YUM!!  I do not use dressing but feel free to.  This is a perfect lunch or dinner for on the go too.  I eat this just about everyday for lunch.  And the Almond slices are so good!  To me it is like the cool whip on top of the pie. :)  It's just not the same without it.  So that's it. Easy Peezie!

Easter 2013

1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... (NIV)

We had such an amazing Easter weekend!  Sunday morning we went to Church and listen to a great sermon!God is so good!  We had dinner at our house with my mom, her husband my mother in law who was in from K.C.  Also and my sister in law, sister, brother in law and nieces and nephews.  We had a full house and loved every minute of it!  This year instead of doing the typical egg dying we tried something new we found on Pinterest.  We decorated the eggs with sharpies.  It was fun and the kids loved it.

When Claire was a baby I ordered her a an Easter bucket with her name on it.  It matches her room colors and I fell in love with it.  This year I bought Natalie and Connors buckets at Hobby Lobby and used my silhouette machine (I am slowly learning to use it) to put their names on them.  I love how they turned out.
One thing Connor got in his Easter bucket was a Nerf gun and my mom also got him Nerf stuff.  I now have two boys (husband) in this house playing war.  It is fun to watch them but ouch those darts can really hurt.  The girls got three seasons of Full House and we have been having a Full House marathon today.  It has been Awesome.  Also, another big hit was the colored headphones for the iPad, iPod and iPhones.  So nice they can watch or play something while being in the dame room as the T.V..  I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter.
